Fightfit Militia

This photo narrative aesthetic represents the revolution of the "fighting world" specifically the change in popularity from boxing to MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). Charlie Weyer exemplifies this. The Guinness Record holder accepts his apt name "Silky Smooth" from the precision that comes with his every movement. A student and a master of the "sweet science" looks onto the future and joins a new breed of athlete in a place where only the fittest survive.

Transformation

Sports appareal is often advertised showing its use with the athlete it is paired to.
When it considered without human obstruction the item can be transformed
into something, which articulates its relevance and indeed its beauty.

Eyesore to Icon

The Eastern Boulevard freeway situated in the center of Cape Town has been unfinished since the early 1970’s . First considered to look like a display of blight or South African incompetence this freeway has strangely developed popularity and an iconic status. The initial use of this freeway not being justified in terms of traffic has rather been used for the set of international movie shoots ) and getting the South African spirit flowing with the addition of a large Vuvuzela during the World Cup. “They will never finish it” Thembisa leader of the road closing, “but why would they?” If you look at it from this angle the freeway along with its constant usage has moved away from being an eyesore and has merged as an iconic part of this beautiful City Scape.

Small Holding

A kitchen appliance is taken for granted unless viewed from a different perspective.
This image represents the function of an ordinary colander,
yet is represented in a way that the average cook would never see.
